nternationally renowned television personality, radio show host, platinum-selling recording artist, and now author, Michelle Visage has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry, across multiple mediums for the past three decades. Visage’s most current endeavor is her new book, The Diva Rules: Ditch the Drama, Find Your Strength, and Sparkle Your Way to the Top[Chronicle Books], which will be released on November 10th, 2015, on Amazon and available everywhere books are sold.
The Diva Rules offers her advice for living life to the fullest, and finding success no matter what hand you’re dealt. With her no-nonsense style and super sassy voice, Visage tells readers to "Keep Your Shit Together," "Give Good Face," and "Be Thankful You're a Misfit," in addition to 22 other invaluable life lessons on finding your power and sparkling your way to the top.
On the television front, Visagecan be seen as ajudgeon the award winning and highest-rated television program on Logo TV show,"RuPaul’s Drag Race," alongside RuPaul, Carson Kressley, and Ross Mathews. The reality competition show, which aired its seventh season on March 2, 2015, leaves fans wanting more each week with their rapid-fire quick wit, impeccable sense of style and signature sass, as they decide who will stay, lip-synch for their life or “Sashay Away.” Visage joined the show, which boasts over a million viewers every week and airs internationally in countries like Australia, Canada and the UK, in 2011 during season 3. Visage also tours the country as part of RuPaul’s Drag Race tour.
Additional television credits include, competing on the fifteenth season of “Celebrity Big Brother” in the United Kingdom in early 2015, where Visage came in fifth place. Visage has also appeared on VH1 in the late 1990s/early 2000s, hosting live coverage of red carpet events such as “The Grammys” in 1998, the 25th anniversary re-release party of GREASE [Paramount] in 2002, and “The Viewer’s Choice Awards.”
Visage has been a staple on morning radio for the past 17 years, hosting and co-hosting programs on various stations such as WKTU 103.5 [New York], KHHT’s HOT 92.3 [Los Angeles], SUNNY 104.3 [West Palm Beach, FL], and 66 THE BEAT [Sirius XM], to name a few.
On the music front, Visage rose to fame as a member of the all-girl group Seduction in the early 1990s, with their platinum-selling album called “Nothing Matters Without Love,” that spawned multiple hits that climbed the billboard charts. Visage was also featured on the bestselling soundtrack of all time [35 million copies sold], THE BODYGURARD [Warner Brothers Pictures], with her remake of Bill Withers’ “It’s Gonna Be A Lovely Day,” that she wrote and sang. The song was immediately signed to Arista Records by Clive Davis himself.
Visage currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and her two daughters.
