One woman in North Dakota is not handing out sugary, cancer causing treats this Halloween, instead she is sending home a manifesto of sorts, for parents of overweight-to-the-eye children. While I applaud her motives, I am not quite sure the holiday that is specifically about sweets is the perfect time to make a stance against obesity. Or maybe it is?
After beating endometrial cancer, the triumphant return of Robin Quivers back into Howard’s studio happened yesterday. So happy for her!
Being a rabid Howard fan, when Robin Quivers announced she had a tumor removed and was broadcasting from home, I just knew that she was fighting cancer and yesterday she confirmed it. It started in her endometrial tissue and grew to a grapefruit sized tumor. After treatment, including chemo, doctors have declared her cancer free. Howard was beside himself, and thought for sure that “she was a goner.” SO happy to hear she’s beat it.
This is MASSIVE news! After being told she had 3-6 months to live due to terminal brain cancer, Valerie Harper combined Eastern medicines with Western and her doctor has just told her she is “close to remission!” They said it will never be gone and will have to be “managed” but this is just wondrous. That is how she is able to do Dancing With the Stars if you all were wondering the same thing I was after reading the interwebs with all of the rumors of the upcoming cast. OMG. I am so friggin happy for her.
Sharon Osbourne shares her decision to have a double mastectomy after finding out she had the BRCA gene. She tells HELLO! magazine it wasn’t even an option not to as she was already a cancer survivor and didn’t want to “live in the shadow of cancer.” She is a grandma now and wants to be here for a long time. She also said she will never, EVER have plastic surgery again and she regrets what she’s done to her face already. Pretty brave woman, I commend her.
