Bye bye Nars Turkish Delight, hello Butter London’s Teddy Girl! OMG you guys, as I was wandering around an unfamiliar mall in NH over the weekend, I walked into an ULTA store and was going through the makeup aisle and stopped at the Butter London section to look at the nail lacquers when I found their Lippy’s. My eyes went right to the palest pink color called Teddy Girl. Now, what makes this gloss special, is the fact that not only is it a gloss, but it is a true pigment as well. It is quite possibly the most perfect shade of baby pink gloss/color that I’ve ever seen. I can use it with liner for color and gloss and it isn’t sheer, it’s opaque and lovely. I am a convert for life. $17 bucks is not cheap for a gloss, but I will pay it for this genius formulation.
There are lip glosses for each occasion and I happen to LOVE plumping glosses. The majority of lip plumping glosses suck and there are even some (i’m side-eyeing you lip venom) that downright hurt and that isn’t necessary. All you need is a nice tingle and a pretty shade of neutral and I am thrilled. Buxom has got my vote for a daily plumping lip gloss hands down. My current favorite color is White Russian but that keeps selling out at every Sephora. I also love Bunny and Katie. This is the gloss company that was started by Bare Escentuals if that does anything for you. They are $18 and you can get yours here.
