There Is Only One Queen

People can hate all they want, but today is the birthday of one of my most important idols/icons. This woman gave me more confidence and self expression rights that almost anyone else in my life . When everyone looked at me like a freak and made fun of me daily because of the way I dressed in high school, I didn’t care because Madonna didn’t care. When I wanted to be a pop star and an actress and everyone else was going to college for a “normal” degree, I didn’t care because Madonna didn’t care. Madonna highlighted and revered being gay and has been a lifetime supporter of the gay community and still is to this day. There are so many reason why this woman has changed my life for the positive. No one is perfect, but that didn’t stop Madonna from trying to be. She busted down every freakin’ wall that stood in her way. NEVER has there been a more controversial person in the world of pop music that has sustained that title for over 3 decades.
